Join a Connecticut Cleanup Near You

Calling all beach goers, wildlife lovers, and supporters of Save the Sound–the 2022 Connecticut Cleanup is here!

Are you concerned with the state of our environment? Do you want to help do your part to preserve our waterways?

We are recruiting Connecticut residents to lead cleanups in your area. Contact us to volunteer as a Cleanup Captain for one of this year’s Connecticut Cleanups!

We are currently scheduling our cleanups for 2022. Check back here soon to register for a cleanup and we’ll follow up with details about how to connect with your site’s Cleanup Captain on the day of the event.

The Connecticut Cleanup is part of the International Coastal Cleanup, which takes place each fall and culminates this year on September 17. Help your community and the beaches you love by picking up trash and keeping our rivers and Long Island Sound clean.

Gloves will be provided at each cleanup site, and participants are encouraged to bring their own masks if it makes them feel more comfortable.

Please register as early as possible, so that we can keep you up-to-date with any protocol changes according to public health guidelines.

Contact Annalisa Paltauf at with any questions.

Thanks for signing up to clean up and keep trash out of our waterways!

*By registering for a cleanup below, you are indicating a commitment to participate in that event. Please contact us if you can no longer attend. We are currently scheduling our 2022 cleanups. Check back here to register soon!
