Emily joined Save the Sound in 2020 to steward the membership team and grow membership, coordinate major events, and engage Save the Sound’s supporters to create a healthier Long Island Sound region.

Prior to joining Save the Sound, Emily worked in the development department at the Mill River Park Collaborative in Stamford, helping to create an urban oasis for the community. She then moved on to a wider environmental scope as the director of membership for The Connecticut Audubon Society, conserving Connecticut’s environment for birds and people.

Emily earned a Master of Public Administration focusing on non-profit management from CUNY Baruch College and also a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Ithaca College. Originally from Pennsylvania, in her free time Emily enjoys exploring the Long Island Sound region and all her new home has to offer. She is also an avid gardener working on transforming her yard into a native pollinator paradise.
