As the Lands Communication Specialist, Maggie is the environmental storyteller for advancing land conservations campaigns at Save the Sound. She works closely with the legal team and project managers to raise awareness for environmental protection and justice across the Long Island Sound region.
Maggie received her M.S. in Environmental Science from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2019, where she researched wetland ecology and worked on sea turtle conservation at the National Estuarine Research Reserve on Masonboro Island. Before coming to Save the Sound, Maggie has coordinated environmental outreach on schooners, land preserves, and nature camps. As a former newspaper photographer and visual editor, Maggie seeks to involve as much multi-media and interdisciplinary storytelling in her environmental communication efforts as possible.
