Jonathan brings extensive nonprofit finance experience to Save the Sound, where he focuses on accounting, financial management, reporting, and grant management. Before joining Save the Sound, Jonathan was CFO/Controller of the Durham Housing Authority in North Carolina and Director of Finance and Administration at a nonprofit in West Hartford, Connecticut. He has also held finance leadership roles at several other nonprofit organizations. Earlier in his career, Jonathan was a senior manager at Ernst & Young and worked in commercial and investment banking with major financial institutions in New York City.
He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Tufts University. Jonathan was elected a Fellow of the Explorers Club, a society dedicated to scientific exploration and field research. His volunteer activities include working with The Nature Conservancy to help establish a land conservancy, serving as treasurer for a local Friends of the Library organization, and co-founding a nonprofit supporting wounded service members.
Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys playing the bagpipes and model railroading. He and his wife live in Vernon, Connecticut, with their two retired therapy dogs.
