Mugwort Cutting at Hamden Town Center Park

Volunteer Opportunity

Join us to help keep mugwort from taking over the rain garden at Town Center Park and prepare the garden for winter. Mugwort is an invasive plant that can spread aggressively, crowding out native species and disrupting local ecosystems. By removing it, we help protect the health of the rain garden and support native plants that provide food and habitat for wildlife.

Come for as long as you can, whether it’s just a little while or the whole day. We’ll provide gloves and loppers, though you’re welcome to bring your own. Please bring a water bottle, a snack, and anything else you need to stay comfortable outdoors. Closed-toe shoes and long pants are recommended.
