Marina’s major gift efforts at Save the Sound are mainly focused on Westchester and Fairfield Counties, ensuring a broad and diverse donor base.

She holds an MA in Arts Administration focused in nonprofit management from Columbia University. She has a diverse background in nonprofit operations and fundraising, having co-founded a nonprofit, Carlotas USA, and recently working at Keep America Beautiful and Van Alen Institute.

She is originally from Brazil and before moving into the nonprofit world she was an award-winning photographer. She now lives in Stamford, CT with her husband and their two rescue cats. In her free time she loves visiting art exhibits and exploring the country.
