Marina’s major gift efforts at Save the Sound are mainly focused on Westchester and Fairfield Counties, ensuring a broad and diverse donor base.

She holds an MA in Arts Administration focused in nonprofit management from Columbia University. She has a diverse background in nonprofit operations and fundraising, having co-founded a nonprofit, Carlotas USA, and recently working at Keep America Beautiful and Van Alen Institute.

She is originally from Brazil and before moving into the nonprofit world she was an award-winning photographer. She now lives in Stamford, CT with her husband and their two rescue cats. In her free time she loves visiting art exhibits and exploring the country.

Dana Dam Site Walk - Please join us for a site visit led by our project team, who will talk about plans for removing the 90-foot-long dam and restoring a portion of the River to a natural meandering path instead of its current straight line along the adjacent Metro North Railroad tracks.
