Nikita Gardi is the Grant Systems and Business Manager at Save the Sound, where she develops and manages systems that strengthen the organization’s ability to plan, fund, and implement our projects.  She collaborates closely with project managers, the philanthropy team, and finance staff to streamline the grant lifecycle so that program staff can focus on advancing Save the Sound’s mission. She is based in the New Haven office and reports to Laura Wildman and the Josh Garskof.

Nikita comes to Save the Sound from the Yale School of the Environment, where she earned a Master of Environmental Management with a focus on sustainable finance. She also holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s in Finance from the University of Mumbai and has the Chartered Financial Analyst Level 2 Certification. Her professional career bridges finance and sustainability. She began in investment research at Morningstar and then specialized in ESG risk ratings and sustainable finance at Sustainalytics. She has also worked with organizations such as the Indian Institute of Sustainable Development and Teach for Green, advancing environmental education and policy.

Nikita is from India and her passion for environmental justice & protection comes from her lived experiences. She loves hanging out with her two kittens and waits for summer every year so she can be outdoors.
