Paul is a Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner and Fluvial Geomorphologist with extensive experience in environmental consulting for the restoration of rivers, floodplains, inland wetlands, and tidal marshes, including over 50 dam removals. Paul also has experience in many phases of project development, including initial project conceptualization, site assessment, data collection, design, permitting, and construction oversight. He began his career in ecological restoration with a BA in Biology and Environmental Studies from Middlebury College (1999) and later earned an MA in Geography (Fluvial Geomorphology) from the University of Connecticut (2008). At Save the Sound, Paul supports ongoing and future projects in the restoration of rivers, wetlands, and tidal marshes in the Long Island Sound watershed.
