Latine and Puerto Rican Voices for Climate Action Roundtable Discussion

In celebration of Hispanic/Latine Heritage Month, Save the Sound is proud to partner with the Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity, and Opportunity (CWCSEO) for a discussion focused on understanding the unique environmental challenges faced by Latine communities while also highlighting Latine leaders’ dedication to creating a more sustainable and equitable future for all.

This event features a keynote address by Jayson Velazquez from Acadia Center, a conversation on environmental injustices and solutions between community leaders, academics, and government officials, followed by a legislative response panel, and then an update on the Long Island Sound Community Impact Fund (LISCIF) and how LISCIF may support community-based sustainability initiatives.

Special thanks to Restore America’s Estuaries and M&T Amplify Fund for their support.
