The 10 beaches listed below are closed today (Wednesday, July 3) because of pollution carried by the rain yesterday and last night.
Good news to start the summer: Oxygen levels throughout the Sound are high
Water quality in the western Sound is unusually good to start the summer: Dissolved oxygen readings were above 5 milligrams per liter throughout the Sound in late June.

Sunday, June 22 — Westchester’s beaches are open again today. Saturday, June 21 – Long Island Sound beaches in Westchester County are open today. With warm temperatures, blue skies and lots of daylight, it’s a terrific opportunity to enjoy a beautiful day at the beach or on the water.
