Did you know the Hutchinson River is one of Mount Vernon’s most important natural assets? The river has great potential for recreation. How can we make it accessible and usable for our residents?

Share your ideas and hear from the experts on how to make the Hutchinson River and the Long Island Sound a contributor to an enjoyable, peaceful, and healthy Mount Vernon.

Local and regional decision-makers will listen to your concerns, gather information, and answer your questions.

They will also talk about the Long Island Sound Community Impact Fund and other ways to boost sustainability in Mount Vernon.

To help support this discussion, we ask that registrants take time to complete this 7 minute Long Island Sound Environmental Justice Needs Assessment to guide our discussion on the data that will be presented.

Food, refreshments, and crafts will be provided. Residents will receive an honorarium!
